SmartHook® Load Monitoring
The latest mooring load monitoring technology has been incorporated in our new SmartHook®, which offers a significant advance in safe mooring systems and is unique to Harbour Marine. The SmartHook® automatically measures mooring line tension as soon as lines are attached to the hook. Real time loads are displayed on a dedicated control box at each hook location, whilst optional visual and audible alarms warn operating personnel of dangerous loads and imbalance between mooring lines.
Essential load data is now available to those who need it most - the mooring crew and operators on the jetty, at lowest cost. SmartHook® can be easily extended to interface with a conventional central monitoring system as operational demand or budget allow.

- Allows pre-tensioning of mooring lines directly by operators — takes away the guesswork.
- Alarm levels can be set to warn when changing conditions under/overload mooring lines outside limits. Both visual and audible alarms are available.
- Mooring load display is updated every second. LCD display panel continually scrolls through line tension for each hook.
- SmartHook® is supplied factory fitted to Harbour Marine hooks and can be retro-fitted to most existing quick release hooks at site.
