SmartDock® Docking & Piloting Systems
Laser and GPS docking and piloting systems provide real-time feedback of vessel position during approach and berthing at the jetty. Key information such as speed, distance and angle relative to the jetty are displayed to the pilot, vessel Master and jetty operators. Data is logged and reports are available for later review, audit and training purposes.
HME's SmartDock® Laser Docking Aid System (DAS) is a reliable, cost effective and precise method of measuring vessel approach over the final 200 meters to the jetty, with centimetre accuracy. The system is berth specific but offers a passive device with minimal user set-up at vessel arrival.
SmartDock® PILOT is a new development utilising the latest in GPS technology. The system calculates vessel position and displays this on an electronic chart within software on the pilot's laptop. PILOT is quickly deployed on the vessel, offers piloting assistance and is berth independent.
