Approach and Berthing Operations
THM Software originates from the laser docking and integrated marine monitoring system products that are used at marine terminals and on board the majority of LNG carriers. The suite of software includes augmented positioning from THM's precision GPS subsystems which can be deployed on FSO's, FSRU's, ULCC's , LNG and other vessels for ship-to-ship docking and at offshore facilities or land based terminals.
The software includes specific considerations for
- Vessel attitude , relative distance, speed and positions
- Fender monitoring
- Mooring line tension monitoring
- Mooring pattern management
- Datalogging and Replay
The suite of applications may be extended with
- Vessel motion monitoring
- Client server architecture with portable units for carry on board operation allowing both vessels a view of the docking and mooring operation.
- MetOcean data via on board or subscription service
- Remote release of Trelleborg Harbour Marine ship based mooring equipment
- LNG Ship to Ship data transmission via SSL (Ship to Ship Safety Link)
- Output to a deck mounted hazardous area docking display visible for 200m
Piloting Applications
QASTOR is designed in compliance with IHO, IMO and IEC standards. The program is also designed with ease of use in mind. The job of the pilot cannot be cluttered with time-consuming operations behind a computer. Some input will be required at some instances, and many options are available to configure the program to the pilot's wishes.
The user-interface complies with the Windows GUI guidelines. Vital information is presented with graphical controls similar to those used in aviation. Information regarding positioning, active routes, scales and display views are continuously stored for replay purposes.
QASTOR uses type approved ECDIS engines for digital chart presentation. Various formats can be read and displayed, such as IHO S-57 Version 3 and C-Map CM93 version 3. QASTOR supports the IHO S-63 security mechanism as used by Primar and IC-ENC.
