Design of interlocks and logic control are central to safe operation
Remote Hook Release provides controlled release of Quick Release Mooring Hooks when the vessel is due to leave the berth or in the event of an emergency, from one central location. The need for jetty personnel to be close to a hook during mooring line release is therefore eliminated. This considerably helps reduce the potential for injury from loaded mooring lines. Electric or hydraulic actuation is available to suit operator preference, although Harbour Marine recommend an electric actuation driven system for ease of maintenance and lower cost installation.
