Harbour Marine is a leading supplier of vessel mooring systems and related engineering services to ports, harbours and the offshore oil and gas industry throughout the world. We are unique in being able to offer both hardware and software designed in-house, ensuring systems are correctly configured and matched to each project.
Established in Melbourne, Australia in 1971, our company designs and manufactures a wide range of standard and custom designed jetty and offshore products, available separately or as integrated systems, to provide reliable, cost effective solutions to improve vessel mooring and docking safety.
Traditional products such as quick release hooks, bollards, capstans and offshore moorings are complemented by state-of-the-art instrumentation technology, including vessel mooring line tension monitoring, laser docking, SPM monitoring and electronic measurement, recording and storage of key data during any stage of docking and mooring.
In addition, the company consults to both shore based and offshore marine industries on a broad range of engineering services including mooring load assessments.
We have an ongoing R&D programme where products are reviewed and upgraded by our mechanical and instrumentation teams to incorporate the latest components, communications technology and operator feedback. Examples include:
- Complete LNG integrated systems based on the I-Smart™ Marine Monitoring System. This links together laser docking, mooring line tension monitoring, oceanographic and weather sensors into one centralised user interface and provides real-time display of data to the jetty operator, the pilot and the ship via fixed and mobile devices.
- SmartHook® offers low-cost, automatic at-hook load monitoring and display.
- GPS-based Navigation provides piloting and docking assistance
- Remote Release logic to meet the most stringent client specifications
